Aileen is a writer and silkscreen artist who lives beside the sea near Gibsons, BC. In March she quit her full-time job to finish her manuscript (an autobiography) and work for herself. She took this opportunity to do something she has always wanted to do: live beside the ocean. How did she find this place? Craigslist of course!

 

(Sea)sun is a blog in the spirit of Annie Dillard, one of my favorite authors. I write about the ocean, the natural world around me, creative non-fiction books, and the writing process. Although I often say i am unrooted, i was born in BC and lived in Vancouver until my year experiment launched in June 2007 to live.write.breathe alongside the sea in Grantham’s Landing.
